Former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora will fight Robert Helenius for the vacant European heavyweight title next month. The Londoner will take on the undefeated ‘Nordic Nightmare’ in Helsinki on 3rd December.
The fight will be the 27-year old Englishman’s second since losing his titles to Tyson Fury in July this year, having returned to the ring earlier this month against Remigijus Ziausys in Halifax, winning inside six rounds.
Helenius of Finland is the same age as Chisora, but holds an unbeaten record in his 16 fights, having knocked out ten of his last eleven opponents.
But Chisora isn’t deterred by his opponent’s record, saying that “this is the biggest mistake they have made with his career, and I’ll be going over to Finland to knock him clean out. They call him the Nordic Nightmare but he’ll be having nightmares about me for the rest of his life after I’ve left him on the canvas. I’ll be ready for this fight like never before.”
