Vitali Waiting For Haye
Big brother wants a go

Vitali Klitschko seems to have been lurking in the shadows over the recent months, as younger brother Wladimir prepares to take on David Haye in Hamburg this weekend, but at Monday’s press conference, he felt the time had come to get a few jabs of his own into the Londoner.
The man overlooked for the fight with Haye joined the members of the press at the press conference in Germany, where the Klitschko brothers are viewed as a boxing corporation, to make sure Haye knows that big brother is watching what happens.
Vitali said “To be honest I am jealous of my brother. I wanted to fight David Haye but he chose my little brother. In a strange way, I’m hoping Wladimir gets injured so I can step in and beat Haye.”
Much the more serious of the Klitschko brothers, Vitali confessed that Haye makes him angry, and although Wladimir can laugh things off, it makes Vitali “want to fight him.”
Another thing that has fuelled the fire burning between Haye and the Klitschko brothers, is the t-shirt Haye has taken to wearing, which shows him decapitating the brothers with his trademark ‘Hayemaker’, which the Ukrainians have taken offence to. Wladimir was particularly offended, pointing out that boxing is a sport where people have been handicapped and have also subsequently died following fights, it’s not something to be joked about. Where Wladimir is normally quite happy to do the jokes and pre-fight banter, Vitali prefers to let his fists speak for him, and cannot wait for the chance to face Haye next.
The only flaw to that plan is Haye’s determination to retire before his birthday in October, but if Haye were to beat Wladimir this weekend, what better way is there to retire from professional boxing than by beating not one, but both Klitschko brothers, showing just how good you actually are.
